September 2024 Changelog
Token Create Speed Improvements
We’ve significantly improved our tokens' speed for both Token Creations and Reads over the last few months—and customers should have noticed them already. This speed and reliability is designed to ensure tokens can always be created and meet the needs of the latency SLAs as we know we are in a major part of the flow of our customers.
These speed improvements are a big part of our product and technical strategy to ensure we are exceeding the speed requirements of our customers and continuing to offer a highly available and fast environment.
- Our average token creation was cut in half.
- Our p90 token creation time was cut in half.
- Our max token creation time is 10x faster.
For large token migrations managed by Basis Theory or self-serve through our API, these processes will automatically see a drastic improvement in speed for the overall migration, simplifying the need for long-running processors, retry logic, etc.
We aren’t done; over the next quarter, we plan to also speed up token creations for tokens that utilize our Enrichments and search and list within our API and portal.
