    December 2024 Changelog

    December 2024 Changelog

December rounded out a productive and successful 2024 for the Basis Theory Platform. Here’s what we released in the last month of the year.

    3DS for Merchant-Initiated Transactions

Many merchants that must offer 3DS for transactions will do so on customer-initiated transactions when customers provide their card for purchase. However, some subscription merchants may want (or may be required) to implement 3DS security on merchant-initiated (recurring) transactions, and we’ve now made this possible in the Basis Theory Platform.

Learn more about 3DS with Basis Theory.

Extending Proxy Timeouts Above 30 Seconds

Previously, our proxies were limited to requests below 30 seconds. However, some payment service providers have request lengths longer than 30 seconds, which has made it challenging for customers. To accommodate this, our proxies can now be used for requests up to 60 seconds.

For requests longer than 60 seconds, customers may leverage our Asynchronous Reactors to enable a much longer request length.
